Thanks for stopping by

This site is about shedding excess pounds & getting strong and healthy, both mind & body

I decided to build this web home for several reasons.

1. To help keep myself focused

2. To share my story with anyone who is also on this journey

3. To Share what I have done to reach my personal goals.

4. To let you know what I'm up to next! Check out the FITNESS CLASS TAB!

I eat less, move more, searched my soul, listened to my body & my heart, asked for help, and

BELIEVED

I talked with my doctor before going forward with diet and exercise.

I encourage anyone who is wanting to make a major change in their lifestyle to do the same.

 GETTING HEALTHY ..... Eating

to release the weight, I chose to count calories.

1200 Calories for women
 I learned that
Fiber is very important......whole grains, vegetables, & fruits

I chose this method to take off my unwanted pounds.
There are so many ways to change your way of eating
but for me, counting calories allowed me to be aware of what I was eating
and really work on changing my lifestyle
because there wasn't any food that was "illegal."

BREAKFAST like a queen, LUNCH like a princess, SUPPER like a pauper
Healthy snacks between meals
WRITE DOWN EVERYTHING you eat & count the calories
If food is constantly on your mind, start a journal & write what is on your mind.

NOW-this is what I strive for (I am not perfect at it):
I still eat a good breakfast: usually cereal & 1/2 muffin w/some peanut butter (300 calories):
a snack of about 250 calories:
Lunch:  about 400 calories
afternoon snack 250 calories
Supper: 300-400 calories
sometimes an evening snack

I vary my calories during the week as well.  I choose one day that I have a "cheat meal."
I do workout about 2 times per day at least 5 days a week.
I lift weights at least 1 time per week.
